2. Our Roles in Data Processing
We operate as both a Data Controller and a Data Processor:
Data Processor (for E-commerce Customer Data): You (the Merchant) are the Data Controller for your e-commerce customer data. We process this data strictly on your behalf and according to your instructions to provide the Motiverse Global loyalty service.
Data Controller (for Merchant Data): We are the Data Controller for the information we collect directly from you (the Merchant) to manage your subscription and account.
3. Information We Collect
a. Merchant Account Data (As Data Controller)
This data is collected when you sign up, subscribe, or contact us:
- Identity & Contact: Your name, email address, phone number, and business contact details, provided via signup forms or email.
- Financial & Billing Data: Your billing address and subscription payment records : We do not store full credit card numbers; payment processing is securely handled by our PCI-compliant third-party processor, Stripe.
- Usage Data: Logs, IP address, features accessed, and interaction times within the Motiverse Global dashboard.
b. E-commerce Customer Data (As Data Processor)
This data is synced from your connected store (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce) to enable the service:
- Customer Name and Email Address.
- Transactional Data (Purchase history, order value, coupons redeemed).
- Loyalty Data (Points balance, VIP tier status, segmentation data).
c. Automatically Collected Information
Cookies and usage data (e.g., via Google Analytics) to improve our site performance.
IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and time spent on our public website.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect for the following specific purposes:
Improvement & Security: Track and analyze platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the security of the Motiverse Global platform.
Service Delivery: To operate the Motiverse Global Loyalty Engine, execute loyalty programs, perform segmentation, and automate win-back offers on your behalf.
Billing & Subscription: To process recurring subscription fees via Stripe and manage your account lifecycle.
Account Management: Respond to inquiries, provide technical support, and send critical service and security alerts.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent any personal data, whether it belongs to the Merchant or the E-commerce Customer. We share data only with the following trusted parties:
Legal Compliance: To comply with legal obligations, such as subpoenas or court orders.
Payment Processor (Stripe): We share only the necessary billing details and subscription amount with Stripe to facilitate payment processing. Stripe is responsible for the secure handling of sensitive cardholder data.
Cloud & Service Providers: Hosting platforms, database management services, and email delivery platforms used strictly to operate and maintain the Motiverse Global platform.
6. Cookies
We use cookies to:
- Save your dashboard preferences and settings.
- Track anonymous visitor behavior on our public site for analysis (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Ensure platform functionality and security.

We protect your data using industry best practices:
Payment Handling: As stated, sensitive payment data is handled solely by Stripe, a globally recognized PCI DSS compliant service.

8. How Long We Retain Data
Account Data: Retained as long as your Motiverse Global account is active. Upon termination, data is securely deleted within a reasonable period, unless required for legal or audit purposes.
E-commerce Customer Data: Retained according to your active subscription. This data is deleted when your subscription is terminated.
Analytics Data: Stored for up to 26 months.
9. Your Rights (As a Merchant)
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about your Merchant account.
- Correction/Deletion: Request that we correct or delete your Merchant account data (subject to legal or financial requirements).
- Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw your consent to data processing (which may require account closure).
